Why support us?

JustSpeak is a non-partisan, not-for-profit organisation. We survive off the hard work of volunteers and one part-time paid support person.

We want to encourage the participation of young people from all walks of life in the creating a more just Aotearoa – so we want to keep our activities free and expand our reach!

To do so we rely on the generous support of sponsors and individual donations.

If you are interested in sponsoring or providing ongoing support to JustSpeak please email us: justspeaknz@gmail.com

If want to make a one off donation you can do so via Rethinking Crime and Punishment’s secure donations page - indicate your donation is for JustSpeak in the Message box.

Current supporters

We are very grateful to those that have provided financial support to the work of JustSpeak.

We are currently funded primarily by the Todd Foundation, whose generous grant has made our work in 2012 possible.

We have received support, as well, from Te Puni Kokiri for the publication of our report, Maori and the Criminal Justice System: A Youth Perspective, and from St John’s in the City in the provision of venues for our monthly forums.

We are also, of course, appreciative towards Rethinking Crime and Punishment, whose moral support and leadership is the spur to our continuing activity. Rethinking Crime and Punishment allows JustSpeak to use its offices as a work space.

My name is charis and I am a criminology honours student at victoria. You guys came into an undergrad lecture of mine last year and gave a pretty impressive presentation. Let me know if you guys have anything coming up that I could attend or have any roles on offer.
